12/2/18  The best gig of the year-could be!  The Score had the house shaking at The Pub in South Windsor with a packed house!  The boys put together 3 strong sets, we had some guests and the dance floor was full of energy all night long!  We had the Langford Elementary School holiday party joining our usual friends, supporting their teaching comrade Tom Donato.  We had Mark Cormier sitting in for a few including I Wish and our holiday special, the Bruce Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  We had Dan sit in for a bunch in the third set and John Surowiecki was jamming with us on keys at several points during the night, including a lead vocal/keys turn on Black Magic Woman.  The boys did several requests like 500 Miles and Midnight Rider.  We unveiled two new songs for us, Tom Petty's Don't Do Me Like That and The Authority Song, which both rocked of course!  Standard Score  classics like Long Train Running, Me and Julio and Hey Jealousy all had that jump and verve!  This gig was H.O.T.- special thanks to Greg, Brenda and the entire Pub Staff for their support - we are back at The Pub on February 9th for the Pre-Valentine Party, so bring your sweetheart or just come on down and look for someone special- we will come to party!

11/9/18  The Score rocked Simsbury!  It was a fun night at The Old Well Tavern as the boys from West Hartford jammed out some excellent classic party rock!  We love the nice stage at the Old Well and we had a crowd to match tonight!  There was a lot of dancing as we saw old friends and new faces bubbling with energy during tunes like Let's Groove,  The Middle, Hard to Handle, Hey Bartender, Born to Run and we did requests like Having a Party and Burning for You!  We want to thank Frank and the awesome staff at the Old Well Tavern for having us and for their generous wings and goodies at the end of the night!   We look forward to seeing you again in Simsbury, so keep checking the schedule!

10/13/18  The Score went "Yarde"! The boys from West Hartford rocked the house in Enfield with two extended sets for the good people at the Yarde Tavern!   We made plenty of new friends as we had the dance floor pumping all night long, especially after the playoff game ended when a fun group of patrons bumped and grinded through the set of classic party rock!  They loved the energetic dance set with Uptight (Everything's Alright) Uptown Funk, Brick House and Play That Funky Music, and also was impressed as they were transported to Exit 7A on the Turnpike during Jeremy's spot on performance of Born to Run!   By the end, we had a large group screaming for more, which is always a great compliment.  We had veteran drummer Mark Cormier back, sitting in for Tommy and he was awesome with  high energy!    We had a blast at The Yarde Tavern and would like to thank Christine and her staff- we can't wait to return to Enfield next time!  If you need a solid, high energy classic party rock and dance band, look no further than The Score!

9/29/18  The Old Well Tavern was jamming with classic party rock as The Score rocked three awesome sets!  The band was clicking with favorites like Born to Run, Vehicle and Rock This TownThe Boys are Back in Town made a return and Matt strummed a solid Hey Jealousy!  To close the night, Evan exerted a facemelting Don't Fear the Reaper to the delight of the crowd!  The second set featured Mark Cormier sitting in on drums, and he was awesome; Mark will be subbing for Tommy at The Yarde Tavern on October 13th.  We are happy to announce that we are returning to the Old Well on November 9th.  We'd like to thank all the fine folks at the Old Well that came out for the show! See you all soon!

9/23/18  Raise your glasses high!  The Score rocked the MarlBrew!  The Score was the headlining act at the Marlbrew Beer Fest at Carter Hill Farms in Marlborough and they did not disappoint!  With about twenty local breweries represented as well as a couple of food trucks, The Score cranked out three sets of dance rock including a smooth version of Brandy, a return of I Wish and crowd pleasers like Sharp Dressed Man and Keep You Hands to Yourself .  The Dance floor was moving throughout the night, beer was flowing and great food was served up all day!  CC and The Gearheads opened and we had a genuine German Oompah Band playing during Score breaks to give that real Ocktoberfest feel!  Carter Hill Farms is a really cool place- The barns, General Store, Goats and Roses Restaurant, fire pits this place is just COOL!  We'd like to thank Burt for having us at the Marlbrew and to Mitch at Carter Hill for supplying the venue- we hope to do more in Marlborough!

9/13/18  Let's do the time warp!  The Score had their old axe master, Dave Blodgett, sitting in for Evan Bellman at Strykers Cafe in Berlin, which meant dipping into the old set.  The band brought  back quite a few tunes including a harmonyfest on Ringo Starr's It Don't Come Easy, a bouncy Me and Julio, a solid version of Badfinger's No Matter What and a powerful version of The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary that featured Brett Proctor on drums!  We also did a lights out version of Cat Steven's Another Saturday Night and the ever popular I'm a Believer.  And for the let's just show off moment, Brett Proctor broke into Little River Band's Cool Change and the band joined in for a never before performance in front of an impressed crowd.  It's always fun to play for Marc and the Strykers crew and we always love when Dave joins in!  Can't wait to return to Strykers Cafe, but for now...  on to the Marlbrew on Sunday 9/23!

The Score returned to The Pub in South Windsor and again rocked the socks off the joint with three solid sets of classic party rock!   The band had Mitch Banks behind the kit and he brought a powerful rock flair to the group as the boys brought back a dance inspiring version of Volcano to the energetic crowd, as well as an Evan led I Will Walk 500 Miles, a smooth version of Stray Cat Strut and Jesse's Girl with Matt on guitar.  The usual favorites were in place and had the place jumping of course!  It was nice to see familiar faces and to meet new friends.  The Pub is a fabulous place to see live music and we are happy to report that we have just been asked to return - see you all on December 1st, so mark those calendars!

7/13/18  Friday the 13th-  what could go wrong?  Well, everything and NOTHING!  The long and short is there were no stopping the fun for the Score show honoring the American Legion Convention in Trumbull!  This gig started off with loads of potential issues as we needed a sub for Evan and had no opportunity to practice with our replacement, fillin axeman Josh McGee.  Then, Tommy was sent to Boston for managers meetings and we needed a sub drummer too!  So we enlisted our former multi-instrumentalist friend Aaron Montiel, who would be back from Europe two days before the show.  Until he got stuck in Dusseldorf in an airline snafu.  The day before the show. You can't make this up!  So after many attempts at locally fixing this potential disaster, we were able to get Mitch Banks to drive all the way from Boston and make the magic happen.  And the show was AWESOME!  No ladders, broken mirrors or seven years bad luck, we rocked the Trumbull Marriott and had the veterans at the American Legion convention rocking all night to a powerful dose of classic party rock!   Mitch steadied the ship, Josh rocked the house, we even played Freebird by request and it was great!  The ladies there were literally bowing during Wanted Dead or Alive and the floor was packed for most of the night!  At one point hotel gatecrashers joined us and kept the party rolling even longer than expected!  This was a wonderful night of honor and classic rock.  The Score would like to thank Kim Usmani for booking us, the Legion for having us and being such a great audience, to Josh McGee for working hard to learn our songs and rocking the house.  We would like to thank Aaron for trying and Mitch for making it happen- we will be seeing you behind the kit for a couple of gigs this summer as well!  We had such a blast and hope to see you again at the next convention! If you need a great party rock band, look no further than The Score!

9/18/16  It was a busy weekend, and we capped it off with a two-set kickoff at Renbrook School in West Hartford!  We have some history at Renbrook as Tom Donato is a former teacher there, and Jeremy Banks was a student as well as a camp counselor for many years.  And of course, our old friend (and Renbrook teacher) Dave Blodgett jumped in for a few tunes, playing a smoking China Grove and Summer of 69!  We also had Sean, a current Renbrook student, join us on drums during Sweet Home Alabama!  He rocked it!   We love playing the stage at Renbrook and we hope to see all our friends there soon!

6/20/15 The Score rocked out at Revolutions Bowling and Lounge!  The stars weren't exactly aligned for the huge outdoor patio party that was to be the Friday night place to be.  It rained most of the night, sending the patrons to the covered tiki bar while the band soldiered on under the protected band shell, delivering three sets of classic party rock.  We had sax player extraordinaire, JD Herzog on board as substitute for both Tom and Brett as we went on as a five piece.  JD also strapping on the six string, expertly contributed some wicked slide guitar throughout the night, adding a new dimension to the sound. This was evident on Pride and Joy and especially on Honky Tonk Woman, back on the set list after a three year absence.  We wished that the weather cooperated better, but everyone who came out had a great time.  We hope to be back at Revolutions next year, with sunny skies and clear nights, but until then, we'll see you at their sister spot- Red's Tavern at Nomads Adventure Quest in September!   Don't miss that show, it is sure to be a classic!
