11/19/22 Jersey Night Success in South Windsor! The Score rocked The Pub on Saturday night to another big crowd! We had Chris Chorney subbing in for Matt, who was mildly stricken with COVID and he was excellent! The floor was packed all night as the band mowed through classic dance and rock songs like Brown Eyed Girl, We're An American Band and September! We had a birthday to celebrate as we were honored to do some Beatles while the birthday girl danced on the stage with us! The show was extra special as it was Sports Jersey night, anyone in a sports jersey could win our raffle- a $10 Pub Gift Certificate! We are proud to announce that Kristen Michaud Ruff, decked out in a Briere Flyers Jersey is our winner! Congrats! We are back again at South Windsor's landmark for rock in Feburary for a Valentine's Week extravaganza! Be there!
11/5/22 The Score rocked the City Sports Grille in Vernon on Saturday night, performing two extended sets for the Spare Time patrons! It was a lot of fun, we had some familiar faces in the crowd this time and we made some new friends! There was some dancing tonight, during classics like Get Down Tonight, Uptown Funk, September and Brick House, we had some kids guest on tambourine for Another Saturday Night, this was an all ages show~ added Born to be Wild and we brought the house down with our usual closer, I Want You to Want Me! It's always fun at City Sports- there is so much to do with the family- bowling, arcade, live music- you can have it all for no cover- only fun! See you there next time for our holiday show on December 17th!
10/28/22 The Score returns to Renbrook! Callbacks are always welcome and we have done several shows for Renbrook over the years. We have some connections- Tom taught there, Jeremy has run the summer program forever and was a student there, our former longtime guitarist Dave Blodgett teaches at Renbrook too! So it was awesome to be back again, this time for their Fallfest and unveiling of a new athletic field. It was a magical event, as the boys jammed out two sets of classic party rock for the faculty, family and supporters. AJ Blodgett, Dave's son and a Renbrook student came out and jammed with us on the drums for "I'm a Believer", and we had several tambouriners throughout the night. This was a lot of fun, with great food, lots of desserts and a fine beer garden. We love playing at Renbrook and hope to be back there again!
10/22/22 Massive crowd, loads of dancers, old faces, new faces all equals happy faces! The Score roared into Somers for another serious shot of classic party rock! The boys unveiled a new song- a tango influenced 90s alternative hit- The Way by Fastball, they had the dance floor moving all night long with all the classics! Former Score drummer Mark Cormier was sitting in for two, keeping the beat for the Dance With Me Tonight and Old Time Rock and Roll medley, and it felt as if he never left. We had so much fun with so many friends, family and regulars in the crowd- the energy was high! We would like to thank Jeff and his crew at Joanna's for having us play and treating us so well. We return to Joanna's to open the holiday season on December 3rd, so bring your dancing shoes and your Santa hats!

9/11/22 Callbacks are so important and we were proud to perform for the Ellington Congregational Church picnic at Arbor Park once again. We want to thank the good people of the church for choosing us again, and we look forward to seeing them again!
9/9/22 The boys were back in Somers for a Friday dance party at Joanna's Restaurant! As always, it was a great crowd, balanced with new and old friends. The band brought back Bad Case of Lovin You and Gimme Some Lovin, and reached way back with a spirited return of Rock Around the Clock. The floor was filled to the brim all night long with dancers. We love playing at Joanna's, we return on October 22nd, hope to see you there!
9/3/22 Things were scorching at Sicily Coal Fired Pizza in Middletown! Sicily boasts some amazing food in a trendy atmosphere- a great place to eat and see live music. This was the boys big debut at Sicily and they were on fire, dishing out two sets of dance rock to the big crowd. The floor was full all night to classic dance tunes like Brick House, Superstition and Get Down Tonight as well as rock numbers like Don't Stop Believing, Don't Do Me Like That and Sweet Home Alabama! Newer songs like Uptown Funk and Shut Up and Dance were very popular with the dancers. We closed out with I Want You to Want Me and left them wanting more! We look forward to returning to Sicily, we enjoyed seeing so many old faces and making new friends- hope to see you all soon!
8/20/22 South Windsor was rocking and rolling with The Score! The Score was hot tonight at The Pub, slamming through three sets of classic party rock to an energetic crowd! It started innocent enough, but then the Roller Derby came into town, injecting a lot of energy for the last set and a half of the night. They really responded to newer dance tunes like Shut Up and Dance and Uptown Funk, as well as The Middle, which Matt had the crowd jumping with him! They also were cutting rugs to Get Down On It and Jesse's Girl as well as September and Let's Groove. The Pub is a great place to be for live music and we will be back with Kitten, Greg, Nicole and the crew on November 19th as well as four new dates next year! Can't wait!
8/13/22 The Score returned to City Sports and Spare Time for another solid show! The crowd was small, but mighty in Vernon as the band put out some serious classic party rock and dance music. The toes were tapping and we had some dancers throughout the night too! Don't miss us next time we are back at City Sports- we return on September 17th, it should be a blast for the whole family at this all ages venue!
7/28/22 It was an amazing outdoor high energy jam in East Hartford as The Score scorched through two sets at Great River Park for the Sounds of Summer Concert Series! It was a sort of homecoming as the band has a long history as East Hartford teachers, so we saw so many old friends, made a lot of new friends too as the crowd was dancing to the beat of the band all evening! The band rocked all the classic dance and classic rock tunes; we even had a massive conga going during Volcano! We even had the mayor bopping along! The rain stayed away, the night was perfect and we had so much fun... We want to thank Sean Dwyer and the East Hartford Parks and Rec for bringing us back to Great River Park- can't wait for next year's show!
7/22/22 The Score had the house packed at Joanna's Restaurant in Somers, CT! Joanna's is quickly becoming our home base as they have consistently had some great crowds, and this night was no exception! The dancing was 100% all night long as they were bopping along to everything we threw at them, dance stuff like September, or Get Down Tonight, or rockers like Hey Jealousy and Hard to Handle, they got down! We love playing Joanna's and are grateful for the hospitality of Jeff and his Joanna's crew. We return to Joanna's on September 9th- mark your calendars!
7/14/22 The Score had it shining at Sonny's Place in Somers! Somers is quickly becoming an epicenter of Score-dom, and our debut at Sonny's was another example of success! We had so much fun playing here- we hope to be back again soon!
7/9/22 The Score rocked their debut at the Maple Tree Cafe in Simsbury! It was a packed house, and the floor was filled all night with dancers and inflatable exotic animals! The boys served up 2 scorching sets of dance music, with standouts like September, Let's Groove, Get Down On It and Uptown Funk. We had guest birthday dancers on stage and plenty of fan percussionists! It was so much fun, we thank the staff, the partners, our old friends and new for coming out to the Maple Tree! We hope to be returning soon!
7/2/22 Sparks were flying at Tommy's Annual 4th of July Party at the Pleasant View Golf Club in Somers! The Score provided the tunes for Tommy's (of Tommy's Tattoo fame) Annual 4th of July Party and it was another awesome time for everyone! The boys deftly added My Girl by the Temptations and brought back their version of Garth Brook's Friends in Low Places to go with the usual favorites like September, Crocodile Rock and Uptown Funk! We had our good friend and former Score guitarist, Evan Bellman join us during the third set, playing on several tunes like Sharp Dressed Man, Sweet Home Alabama and doing some blistering guitar work opposite George during Keep Your Hands to Yourself! We'd like to thank Jeff Lipton of Pleasant View, Tommy, our gracious host and everyone that came out to see us play and of course enjoy the spectacular fireworks display. We had a blast tonight and look forward to seeing everyone in Somers again real soon- we are back at Jeff Lipton's other venue, Joanna's on July 22nd and we are also at Sonny's Place on July 14th! See you on the road!
6/4/22 The Score had another amazing night at Joanna's Restaurant in Somers, CT! We had the floor moving all night and made a lot of new friends! The boys brought back Easy by The Commodores and the crowd was jamming during the dance tunes like September and Let's Groove as well as the rock tunes- they really enjoyed Summer of 69 and American Woman/We're An American Band combo! We are back at Joanna's on July 22, so don't miss it!
5/22/22 The Pub was rocking Saturday Night! The boys in The Score love playing The Pub! It was another fun night of classic party rock and dance music in South Windsor as the band pumped out three powerful sets for the patrons. The floor was well attended tonight, with plenty of dancers and the band did not disappoint with great dance classics like Get Down Tonight, Uptown Funk, Footloose and Shut Up and Dance. They also responded to the rock tunes like Summer of 69, Rock and Roll All Nite, American Woman I Want You to Want Me, and another jaw dropping version of Long Train Running interspersed with Tower of Power's Soul Vaccination! We did it all! Thanks to everyone that supported us at The Pub, we thank Greg, Kitten, Nicole and the crew for taking care of us and we look forward to returning in August!
5/13/22 The Score was back in Berlin for a scary good serving of party rock and dance classics at Strykers Cafe! It was Friday, the 13th but the bad luck eluded us and even Jason was dancing! We played without Tom, as he was celebrating a graduation, but we soldiered on and delivered the goods. The band introduced American Woman for the first time as the crowd grooved approvingly. We also brought back old favorites like Taking Care of Business and Down on the Corner, and Don't Stop Believing to the delight of the crowd! Of course, the dance hits were driving the crowd like Uptight(Everything's Alright), September, Let's Groove, Get Down on It and Shut Up and Dance. Plus, Matt had them jumping with The Middle and on guitar, fan favorite, Hey Jealousy. It was another great time at Strykers, easily the best little bar around! We would like to thank everyone that came out, Marc, Jason and the crew and we look forward to the next time we are back in Berlin!
4/23/22 Another Score at City Sports Grille! The Score scored again at City Sports Grille with three solid sets of classic party rock to bopping and dancing patrons. This was an all ages affair, 21 or older to drink, but since it is part of the Spare Time Bowling and Arcade, we had a diverse crowd. Popular tunes like Shut Up and Dance, The Middle and Uptown Funk went over well with the younger crowd, and the Stevie Wonder, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire scored with the parents! We had dancers and tambourine players of all ages! Management was impressed and signed us up for another show on August 13th, with more to be announced for the fall! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us in Vernon- hope to see you all soon!
4/8/22 Scored big at Joanna's Restaurant! It was an epic return to Joanna's Restaurant in Somers for The Score, as the repeat performance mirrored the auspicious debut with more solid covers of classic party rock and a dance floor full of patrons moving and grooving to the tunes! It started dicey, with some weird sound issues after a perfectly normal soundcheck, but the boys corrected the issue quickly and proceeded to deliver what they do best- danceable hits including Smooth, Uptown Funk, Mustang Sally, Old Time Rock and Roll, Brick House, Get Down On It, Moondance, Footloose, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, and our Twist/Shout/ Twist and Shout medley! The folks at Joanna's gave great positive feedback as the night went on, and we were happy to make so many new friends! We'd like to thank Jeff and the amazing staff at Joanna's for taking such good care of us and we can't wait for our next Joanna's show on June 4th!
4/1/22 No Foolin' Only Fun! It was another awesome gig on April 1st at Strykers Cafe with a full house of dancers as The Score ripped out three sets of classic party rock! The boys brought back Ringo Starr's classic It Don't Come Easy to kick off the night and then we had them moving and grooving to songs like I'll Be Around, September, Centerfold, Footloose, Uptown Funk and Shut Up and Dance. The energy at Strykers was amazing and it was nice to see so many friends! We are back at Strykers on May 13th, so mark the calendars!
3/26/22 Callbacks are the greatest form of respect! The Score had the honor of performing again at the annual East Berlin Firefighters Spring Fling fundraiser and it was a huge party! The firehouse hall was packed with firefighters, their friends, family and supporters and they were ready to let loose! The dance floor was full all night long as the band cranked out classic party rock and dance tunes all night long! The boys unveiled a killer version of Santana's Smooth, had the place rocking with Tom Petty's Don't Do Me Like That, Old Time Rock and Roll, and the dance was on with those dance tunes like Get Down On It, September, Let's Groove and Get Down Tonight. We did a dedication to our good friend Cara Farr with Hey Jealousy and we had a guest bongo player and later a guest singer, Rich Copp help us bring back BTO's Taking Care of Business! Thanks to Cara for booking us and to everyone who showed up in support. We could have played all night, but all good things have to come to an end, so we hope to see everyone at the next Firehouse event and perhaps down the street at Strykers Cafe on April 1st!
2/19/22 The Pub was rocking! It was like old times when The Score returned to South Windsor with a huge crowd, all night dancing and great music! The band was firing on all cylinders with a mostly recovered Tom Donato returning on sax, vocals and percussion, we missed the SaxMan! The boys brought back a powerful offering of Grand Funk's We're An American Band and added a scorching version of Elton John's Crocodile Rock, and the dance tunes were hot of course keeping the floor full throughout the night. We want to thank everyone who came out and we will see you at The Pub again in May!
2/4/22 Sadly, with the serious potential of black ice, Strykers & The Score agreed that it's safest to cancel tonight's show. Strykers will be open tonight for their local customers. See you next time and stay safe!
1/30/22 The Score is excited to announce that we will be back at Joanna's for 4/8, 6/4, 7/22 and 9/9! We are also now booked on Thursday, 7/14 at Sonny's Place and we will be back at the Center Streets Bike Fest in West Hartford on 8/28! If YOU need a solid party rock band that gets people dancing, choose The Score!
1/28/22 The Score had their big debut at Joanna's Restaurant in Somers, CT and we knocked it out of the park! The day started ominous, Tom was still not well enough to join us and we were having some weird tech issues. But, once everything was sorted out (on time!), the boys rocked the house! It was a big crowd of all ages and the floor was covered most of the night! They responded positively to EWF's September, and this kicked off the dancing spree. The Spinners I'll Be Around returned to the set list, as did Bad Case of Lovin' You, Gimme Some Lovin', Sharp Dressed Man, What I Like About You, Moondance and I'm a Believer. Other hot numbers included Let's Groove, Get Down Tonight, Summer of 69 and the Twist/ Shout/ Twist & Shout medley. We played two extra long sets, 58 songs in all- maybe a Score record- but we just couldn't get off the ample stage! We made a lot of new friends that night, saw a few old friends and even scored a coveted gig at Sonny's as the fine folks at Joanna's told them they "had to see this band". We want to thank Jeff and his amazing staff for taking care of us so well and we look forward to our next visit!
