5/16/20 Unfortunately, The Score's June 6th Rooftop120 show has been cancelled. Due to state capacity restrictions, Rooftop has decided to postpone their May 20th reopening and they are not having live entertainment in June. We really looked forward to our debut at Rooftop 120, and we hope that we can see them at our next scheduled date in September. In the meantime, stay well and stay safe. Our next gig is now Strykers Cafe in July. Hope we can rock the house!
4/20/20 It certainly has been an odd time for everyone. We miss seeing all of our supporters out at our great venues across Connecticut. We really have no idea of the immediate future when it comes to performances, but our next scheduled show is at the trendy Rooftop 120 in Glastonbury. We will keep you all in the loop regarding that date and future shows. In the summer, we have scheduled dates at Strykers, The Pub, The Yarde Tavern, a debut at The Red Door in Watertown, maybe Center Streets Bike Fest in West Hartford, and we look forward to when will be able to safely start seeing all our friends there at a venue near you! For now, stay safe and be well!
3/13/20 Due to the current state of emergency because of the Corona Virus, The Score will not be performing at City Sports in Vernon tomorrow night, March 14. We also regret that we have been informed that the March 28th Spring Fling at the East Berlin Firehouse will be postponed with a date to be determined. We do not take cancelling a gig lightly. However, we want everyone to stay healthy during this time of concern over the spreading virus. Thanks for understanding and we hope to see you out on the dance floor real soon.
3/6/20 The Score was back at Strykers Cafe in Berlin for another great night of classic party rock! The boys had the small, but mighty crowd engaged and tearing up the floor by offering up great tunes like Long Train Running, dance favorites like Brick House and September while tightening up some of their new songs like Maneater and the "dancetastic" Twist medley! We had Karaoke king Brian Swider up singing two songs with us, the first was a solid version of Brown Eyed Girl and he came back at in the final set to give us a smooth Wonderful Tonight! At the end of the evening, The Score reached way back into the vault and pulled off a totally face melting version of Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4, led by Evan Bellman's sonic attack on guitar and Tom Donato's signature sax lines! That was a keeper for sure! We love playing Strykers- Marc and the crew always treats us right- it's kind of our "home base"; we are back on July 10th, so see you there!
2/29/20 The Score Leaps into 2020 with an extra night to party! The Score had a blast at the big Leap Year Bash at the Pub in South Windsor! It was dancing all night long with three strong sets of floor moving classic party rock. The boys officially welcomed Mark Cormier to the fold on drums and he had us on point all night, reducing space between songs and adding vocals too! It was a huge group of new tunes and they were all received very well. We also brought back Jesse's Girl and I Want You to Want Me. The band also had a bunch of guests on stage, including Jane Lovett, aka Redhead who belted out Long Train Running, Marilyn Kopf of Hammersmith came up and worked backups on several tunes, Dan Hernberg of The Introvertz took on lead guitar and crooned some excellent vocal duties for Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues as well as helping us out on sound, EHHS student, Gabe Zachariah sat in on keys for several tunes including Long Train, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch and Uptight (Everything's Alright), and we even had a mysterious kid jam out on guitar with our closer After Midnight. There was a lot going on at The Pub's Leap Year Bash! We want to thank Greg, Brenda and the crew for taking good care of us, The Pub is the place to be in East Hartford and South Windsor, so stop by- we will be back for the Massive Summer Luau in July. Now THAT is one not to miss, so mark those calendars! See you on the Road...

We are excited to have Mark aboard and we are looking forward to the future with his enthusiasm, skill and commitment. We sadly say goodbye to Tommy "Stixey" Szymuc who manned the Score kit for the past five years. We thank Tommy for all he has done for the band, taking us in new directions and imparting his considerable wisdom from his years of touring in national bands. Tommy will now be able to fully focus on his band Xclusive, and we wish him well and look forward to seeing him on the road or if we need a substitute drummer! He is forever in the Score family! As for us, Mark and the rest of the boys in The Score will see you at our next gig on February 29th at The Pub in South Windsor, so when you see Mark at the show, give him a nice Score welcome! 7/13/18 Friday the 13th- what could go wrong? Well, everything and NOTHING! The long and short is there were no stopping the fun for the Score show honoring the American Legion Convention in Trumbull! This gig started off with loads of potential issues as we needed a sub for Evan and had no opportunity to practice with our replacement, fillin axeman Josh McGee. Then, Tommy was sent to Boston for managers meetings and we needed a sub drummer too! So we enlisted our former multi-instrumentalist friend Aaron Montiel, who would be back from Europe two days before the show. Until he got stuck in Dusseldorf in an airline snafu. The day before the show. You can't make this up! So after many attempts at locally fixing this potential disaster, we were able to get Mitch Banks to drive all the way from Boston and make the magic happen. And the show was AWESOME! No ladders, broken mirrors or seven years bad luck, we rocked the Trumbull Marriott and had the veterans at the American Legion convention rocking all night to a powerful dose of classic party rock! Mitch steadied the ship, Josh rocked the house, we even played Freebird by request and it was great! The ladies there were literally bowing during Wanted Dead or Alive and the floor was packed for most of the night! At one point hotel gatecrashers joined us and kept the party rolling even longer than expected! This was a wonderful night of honor and classic rock. The Score would like to thank Kim Usmani for booking us, the Legion for having us and being such a great audience, to Josh McGee for working hard to learn our songs and rocking the house. We would like to thank Aaron for trying and Mitch for making it happen- we will be seeing you behind the kit for a couple of gigs this summer as well! We had such a blast and hope to see you again at the next convention! If you need a great party rock band, look no further than The Score!

Aaron will be moving on to new endeavors but he will always be a part of the Score family- and we hope to see him very soon! The show itself was a complete blast with both Aaron and Brett joining us for the gig, showing off their multi-instrumental powers, Brett playing keys, bass and singing lead on Don't Stop Believing, while Aaron besides keys, claves, drums and lead vocals on Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting added trumpet to his massive instrumental resume giving The Score a bonafide hot horn section! 10/22/16 Let the good times flow! The Score brought down the house at the XL Center Expo for the Hartford On Tap Beer Festival! The glasses were held high all day as the beer cascaded from almost 100 craft beer vendors from all around the region. The Score jammed hard on the large stage, putting four sets of awesome classic party rock! The boys brought out some new tunes including a return of a soulful version of U2's Angel of Harlem, and a hot offering of Mark Ronson's/Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk, which had the crowd in a frenzy! The band also had the crowd bopping during a powerful cover of Long Train Running, they were dancing for Brick House and Uptight (Everything's Alright), Aaron got rave reviews for his work on Nothing from Nothing and Matt went absolutely nuts jumping during an infectious version of the Middle! There were only highlights to this gig, probably a top five Score show ever. We have to give Tim Sheehan from I-95 a huge shoutout for suggesting us and we thank Jeremiah and the entire On-Tap crew for having us this perform this year and we hope to work with the Hartford On Tap in the future.
